Our values
The social commitments behind the software.
Democracy is for everyone
Writing to your own representative shouldn't require insider knowledge, perfect English, or a lobbyist's retainer. PoliPost Canada exists to lower that barrier for ordinary people — and we measure ourselves by whether a first-time participant can be heard.
Authenticity over volume
We amplify real constituents; we refuse to manufacture them. No invented identities, no letters nobody approved, no astroturf — and our AI is built to weave in a supporter's genuine words, never to fabricate facts or feelings. Near-duplicate letters get flagged, not celebrated.
Nonpartisan by design
The platform serves causes across the democratic spectrum and favours none. We decline campaigns that promote hatred, harassment, discrimination or deception — and that line holds regardless of the politics on either side of it.
Both official languages, equally
French is not a translation afterthought here; it's a first-class experience, from supporter flows to policies, in Québec French. Plain language in both languages is part of accessibility.
Accessible to every body
Large-type and dyslexia-friendly modes, screen-reader-tested flows, WCAG-minded contrast, and keyboard everything. When a supporter can't use the page, that's our bug.
Privacy as a default, not a setting
Informational pages set zero cookies. Supporter details are encrypted, used only for delivery, and de-identified on a fixed retention schedule. We don't build marketing profiles and we never sell personal information.
Responsible AI
AI assists; humans decide. Every letter is approved by its author before anything moves, drafts disclose nothing the supporter didn't offer.
Community standards
Campaigns that target individuals for abuse, spread demonstrable disinformation, or exclude supporters by protected characteristics are removed under our terms. We'd rather lose a customer than lend them a megaphone for harm.
